We're Still Us CD!

Love this CD.

It was beautiful and gave me comfort while remembering my husband and waiting to join him when my time comes.

My husband passed in 2018, we had been married 63 years and I have really been dealing with this grief. I ordered We’re still us and My sweet smile cd’s . I cried crocodile tears the first, second, and third time I listened to We’re still us. Now I listen to the cd several times a day and it brings me so much comfort because we are still us. I keep his memory alive and my great grandchildren listen to my stories and they remember the things they did together with him and because they still live and remember him brings me comfort. Thank you for making this cd. I also lost my daughter in 2014 so this helps me. My niece lost her son recently and I ordered this cd to send to her in Virginia to help with her grief. I am so for your loss also.

John Schneider is my favorite country singer i have all his albums , beautiful rich voice and great music.

I already had this CD for myself; but got this 2nd one for a friend whose finance unexpectedly passed on & she is having a very difficult time dealing (I'm sure you can relate). Love the CD some of it was a little hard to get through as a widow I got all of the emotion and all of the lyrics and your introductory talk so thank you thank you for being transparent and sharing your grief with people you don't even know who have been walking that road

This hit home for me as I lost my husband and son 1 week apart from each other. Very emotional but John was so right on about the music he wrote, good lyrics and his talk at the beginning of the music. Loved it so very much!

Warning! Do not listen while driving as the tears makes it difficult. Lost my wife 4/19/23 after suffering years of dementia. She too was beautiful and also my Christian sister and best friend. Could really feel your heart and soul and love for Smile. I lost my only son at age 50. It broke my heart and I have grieved ever since. Your music and words really helped my soul and are what I feel also. You are an inspiration to everyone who has lost someone. We saw you on mask singers and you should have one. My husband (55) passed away 7 years ago from prostate cancer, it was a 3 1/2 year battle, The one song I gave me comfort after he passed was called Superman by Jimmy Charles ( it's about cancer and not doing it alone)( who ever is reading this should take the time to listen to that song), until I just listened to tack 6 on your cd and I got to say WOW what a Beautiful Song...... It is my New Favorite song that will make me smile everytime i listen to it. So thanks for the Words, they are AMAZING, I think of My Gary Often and Treasure Every Moment We Had Together.... My mother passed away in 2017, she passed away from a Gleioblastoma, it is one of the more aggressive brain tumors that you can get. I really resonated with the song why did you leave me here. I felt exactly this way when my mom passed away, I didn't want to be alive any more. It has been almost 7 years since she has passed. It get easier to live with, but you will never get over your grief.

Great album! I'd recommend it for not just someone dealing with grief, but also just for anyone who enjoys good music. Poignant, cathartic and comforting songs.

I've always admired John and how he shared his life and good heart with his fans and just people in general. I like how he shares great memories of his life to help inspire others in a positive way!!

The songs on your CD sing to my soul. The first time I listened I was overcome by a gentle stream of tears rolling down my face. The tears were not from being sad but instead, tears of feeling complete and understood, tears of unity in our shared journey on this unexpected road trip since our beloveds have gone to Heaven before us. Really really extremely beautiful songs. Make sure you're alone the first time you listen to the CD so you can fully concentrate on it and feel his emotions in every song as John sings them.

John I haven’t listened/or opened the cd because it is a gift for my bestest girlfriend who lost her husband two years ago. I know she’ll cry like mad and even be mad with me but I pray it touches her heart. I love your thoughts and comments regarding the loss of your precious bride, I too lost my husband in 1998 through cardiac issue but God sent me my high school friend at our 30 year reunion and we were married in 2000 at 30 years of age. I am giving this album to a friend whose husband was killed in a car crash, by an impaired driver, 2 years ago. Difficulties kept piling on her. So, due to a nervous break down, she is coming to grips with the fact she never let herself grieve. There are as many ways to grieve, as there are people who grieve. I'm so glad my car still has a CD player in it! I popped this in and John's passion, sorrow and grief was palpable. I cried and cried! It's cathartic and beautiful, heartbreaking but also hopeful. Was hestitant about the songs after listening to John’s intro talk. Thought it might be depressing. It was NOT! Totally loved each song and the messages presented. To tell the truth I found it very relaxing and comforting. Have not been through a loss such as John’s and many others, but know that using music can soothe the soul. What a great CD... beautifully written.... wonderful sound. It really tugs at the heart. I do recommend not to drive while listening to it for the first time. Because it's just a little hard to drive and cry at the same time.

I liked the CD. I could feel the hurt,etc. Makes you think. I just lost my mom. I know that's different than a spouse so I am treasuring every moment spent with my husband.
