Recently purchased book My life, My way. Well written, laughed … cried… throughout. Grew up in Atlanta area as well listening to Z93, Six Flags… brought back memories. John Schneider… the whole package.. the man… a true gentleman. Lost entire immediate family, one right after another… found his Facebook posts, helped me move forward. Been wanting this book for awhile now so i decided to treat myself for my 57th Birthday to a copy... Well worth it... Love My Life My Way... haven't been able to put it down and its been many years since I've bought or read anything other than the Bible... Guess I'm just old school and loved the simpler life back then and the good ol' days... I have been a fan of John since his Bo Duke Days. I joined his fan club when he would tape messages and send cassettes to his fans. I love how he has continued this now with the face book technology. When my mom was alive she would always tell me if John Schneider was going to be on a new show. Loved him in Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. Loved seeing him in Kalamazoo Michigan at the fair. Just started reading book love it so far!

I remember watching Dukes when I was a kid, but I wasn't interested in John's book just for the behind the scenes moments of Dukes. I was more interested in John's story and his perseverance through times of suffering. One of my favorite chapters is the chapter about Johnny Cash. I was thinking, "Now, there is John. This clearly showcases his heart." Pride is an ugly thing, so I was thankful to read about his faith, financial struggle (That can happen to anyone, including me), the natural disaster that swallowed his property, and the good that came of it. He is clearly a man that roots for and supports the underdog - the independent filmmaker, writer, etc. God works good in all things for the purpose of His plan. I can definitely see the good God is working through John. God bless him, his smile, and his mission.

I love this. Might call it a memory book. I used to watch Dukes and be glued to the tv . One of the things we don’t have enough of is books. People just go on phones, tablets and use other electronics. When I was a kid we had encyclopedia’s, we went to the library and had to go through a card catalog and go in search of what we were looking for. It was called using our head and gaining knowledge. Not only is my book personalized which means more to me than I can possibly express, but it’s a wonderful add to my books that I already have. I got a book from 1885, but I also have 2 encyclopedias from 1700’s-1800’s. I forget the dates now, I’ve had them for over 10 years and they are so fragile. Another wonderful thing about books is that if the lights go out you can still have something to read. Sorry, my 53yr conservative old fashioned self think our kids are being failed by our schools. I used to be a teacher aide, I never seen teaching, kids copy and paste stuff and still not know what it was and don’t care. Like kids supposed to do a Shakespeare reports. They had know idea who he was. I was so offended that the teachers were so lazy. I quit, it makes me sick. So to have a special book to keep forever means a lot. Thank you Chel PS. I have a Bachelors of Science in Arts & Science, major was History. Minor in Sociology. I had an art professor that said I’d be a great artist, but oh well. I get fired up seeing things go so bad.

Unfortunately when I wanted the book JSS was sold out but found it on Amazon. It's bone if the best books I've ever read and John speaks in it just like I believed he would and is a caring & giving individual. Trying to save to buy the book here and get it autographed. Finally went to OUR first Extravaganza in April. Had an amazing time and hoping that it being said was the last one.. I believe in our almighty God and I am looking forward to more Extravaganzas. The book was a little difficult to find in the store. Seems there are two different pages listing the products. One list did not include the category of books. It did not take me long to locate the book, though. So far, I am enjoying the book as I just started.
